Memory Care
Diseases that affect memory are difficult for everyone involved. At Heather Hill Healthcare Center, we offer specialized services to enhance the daily life of those residents who have been identified as having a special need for a secure environment. Our Life Enrichment Coordinator works to get to know the individual and enhance their lives every day.
Our facility strives to make families feel comfortable knowing their loved one is in safe hands and getting the care and attention they need.
We believe that Alzheimer’s and Dementia should not change the quality of life our residents receive and we work tirelessly with our residents on maintaining a sense of identity, and a strong sense of purpose. With this approach, we have been able to allow residents to safely engage in activities they love. We have specific activities for our residents in memory care to help improve information retention and improve the amount of independence our residents are able have. This process can be heart-wrenching and you probably have a lot of questions of where you need to start. Outpatient Care
Outpatient care is available at Heather Hill Healthcare Center and is inclusive of: diagnosis, observation, consultation, treatment, intervention, and rehabilitation services.
Respite Care
At Heather Hill, we understand that caring for a loved one can be exhausting and frustrating when you have to do it all alone.
Respite care is temporary relief care designed for families of seniors that require a higher level of care. Respite care can range from a one-time overnight stay to extended care sessions, typically limited to 7-10 days. Providers, chosen by the family, care for seniors that require a higher level of care while families go on a vacation, handle personal/work situations or simply need a break from the challenging task of being a caregiver.
Respite care is designed to help families and other caregivers. Caregivers of seniors often face serious problems and stress as a result of balancing the needs of their loved one with the needs of other family members. These breaks, that respite care provides, allow families time to tend to the needs of their children, spouses, and themselves.
Hospice Care
We offer short- and long-term care for those who have selected Hospice. Our nurses will coordinate with hospice care providers to ensure that the resident is well taken care of throughout the stay in our facility. We work closely with Gulfside Hospice and HPH Hospice in the Pasco Area. We are open to create new partnerships with other Hospice agencies in the area.
